Growth Marketing Assistant (12 month fixed term contract)

We are looking for a Growth Marketing Assistant to join Team OB in our Support Office on a 12 month fixed term contract.

As a Growth Marketing Assistant at OB you will work closely with our CRM team and our customer data and experience platform, Bloomreach, to support with CRM use cases across email, onsite personalisation, ad audiences, customer data, surveys, segmentation and reporting. You’ll also work alongside our acquisition team, supporting our Performance Marketing Manager across paid channels, to create compelling and engaging ads through copywriting and creative briefing. You’ll support with growth channel reporting across both acquisition & retention, as well as competitor research and the delivery of cross-channel campaigns and customer facing comms.

This role will provide excellent introductory experience to both acquisition and retention marketing. You will receive in-depth training from our internal team, as well as accredited certifications from key acquisition and retention platforms.

Our Support Office is based in Tolworth, near Chessington, only a 30-minute journey from London Waterloo. We offer hybrid working with a split of 3 days in the office and 2 days home working per week, and are open to having conversations about working flexibly.

More about the role …

An OB Growth Marketing Assistant will:

  • Support the Growth team across both CRM & Paid activity, with a focus on keeping always-on campaigns updated and delivering insights to support optimization decisions
  • Work with our customer data and experience platform, Bloomreach, and other software to support with CRM use cases across email, competitions, surveys, segmentation and reporting
  • Work with the CRM Executive and the wider Marketing, Design and Content teams to deliver our newsletter and automated email campaigns, supporting with briefing content and products, checking links and segmenting the sends to ensure that emails are delivered to the highest standard
  • Assist with the upkeep of supporting content for email including key category links and banners, using insights from reporting to serve relevant and engaging content to our audiences
  • Work across our Paid Search, Social and Affiliate ad platforms to support the Performance Marketing Manager with ad creation, including creative briefing where necessary
  • Write our Affiliate weekly newsletters, keeping publishers up to date with the latest offers & products
  • Deliver Growth channel reporting, both campaign KPIs and database health, with a focus on actionable insights to drive engagement and conversion on future campaigns, as well as identifying trends and risks
  • Support with ad-hoc reporting such as campaign wrap ups, deep dives and benchmarking
  • Support with the development and deployment of the campaign testing strategy, identifying opportunities for optimisation and actioning insights
  • Monitor competitors and stay abreast of industry trends to identify opportunities and ensure we offer industry leading campaigns
  • Work closely with our creative & product teams to align creative strategy to our trade calendar & best performing products, briefing in creative requirements where necessary
  • Admin and housekeeping, including Bloomreach customer queries, data processing and monthly competition winners
  • Assist CRM Manager with testing of technical use cases, feeding back to partners on results

What we look for:

  • Positive attitude and be self-motivated with a willingness to learn

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to write engaging copy with accurate spelling and punctuation
  • Confident with analysing data
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships, internally and with external suppliers
  • A passion for our brand and products, understand retail and general consumer buying behaviour
  • Ability to prioritise workload and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Prior experience in a marketing role is a nice to have
